Hotter Than Hell

It is so hot here that I have nothing to post. Unless you would like a photo of all of us sitting in front of fans with the A/C running. This is all that any of us are able to do in this heat. Yesterday it was 100 degrees with a heat index of 115.

I left for the grocery store early to buy anything I could prepare that involves no heat.

I found the first of the Fall magazines!!! I will be sitting in front of the fan all day ready these and pretending Fall breezes are blowing on me!

I must mention the tragic events in Norway. I am profoundly saddened by these horrible incidents. My heart and thoughts go out to all involved. Intolerance must be banished.

I feel for you. It's been over 100 degrees every day here for 6 weeks. It's so hot one cannot even go out of doors. I can't wait for Fall/Winter, either!

we think alike on this, I've been inside painting autumn paintings for the past few weeks as the searing heat makes our summer unbearable and burns the poor lawn to a crisp? I cant wait til october...

It often feels like autumn here, even though it is still July.
So many of us are ablaze with the summer heat.

Glad you have A/C.

I think that if we had that hot summers up here I too would long after autumn! It must be terrible!!

Now we´ve heard that those poor kids were hunted by that man for 1,5 hours before the police arrived!!! OK, they were a bit occupied with the huge bomb in Oslo but 1,5 hours??!

Take care!
Christer.

It's really hot here in the Houston area and the convectional thunderstorms popping up in the afternoon only provide a little relief. I find that I have to get out to go to the gym or run errands early in the day because when it's about 100 degrees it's easily 120 or more when you get in your car. OUCH! You and Teddy stay cool.

i am infuriated with the murders in norway. fundamentalists personify evil for me, no matter what religion or politics they call 'home.
Time to implement that all popsicle and ice cream diet.

I thought we were going to have a thunderstorm but it just seems to have disappeared without leaving a drop of rain! Aaaarrrgghhhh! Was at the Farmers Market, this morning, in 101 temps but because of my location had a non-stop beautiful breeze. The music being played was solf island and it was almost like being at the beach. Then, I got in my car... And, it isn't even August... Did see a lady walking her dog with one of the cooler jackets. The dog was very cool and happy. Great idea. Hope Teddy has one.

Ooh I don't envy you that hot weather. It's a typical English summer here with rain and week sun but that in all honesty is suiting me fine. Hot weather doesn't like me. I hope you can find a cool spot to relax :)

I'm so jealous of those magazines, I love Autumn and would love to spend time with those mags but I've never seen them on sale here :(

Those magazines look fantastic, I wish they sold them here. I love Autumn !!

The terrible things that have happened in Norway shocked everyone and I think it's just terrible that The Netherlands are mentioned in this way. Most Dutch people don't agree with the government at the moment and certainly not with the ideas of mr. Wilders. I think it is so horrible.
I think you need to move to the Northwest...I think we've had 4 days so far in July that it even reached 70 and yes, after hearing about the heat everywhere else, I'm not complaining!
They are saying we might get to 80 today..so everyone is excited that they might actually get to sit outdoors this evening without a sweater on! :)
Stay cool...I hear it's supposed to cool off there soon?
