The Potting Table

I decided it was time to transform from Summer to Fall in the patio area. I took all of the birds off of the potting table and put up mushrooms and a couple of pottery pumpkins. Click any of the photos for a better view.

The cat is waiting for the bird to return home.

A couple of morels grow under the table.

The iron cat with the glass eyes stares from within the cage.

I also cleaned up the sink area. I put out a few pottery witches and some ceramic pumpkins.

I am leaving lots of room for real pumpkins and gourds when they are ready.

The spider on the side of my wood burning oven.

A cement cabbage.

And another Salem Witch Day Lily bloomed.

A copper spider web hangs from a tree.

A toad peeks out from under some flowering mums.

The potting table will wait less anxiously than I for further adornment. Grow pumpkins grow and grow fast!!!

My pickup is ready to bring home a load of straw and cornstalks.

The Old Witch's Garden.

Toads, mice and a pumpkin.

I broke out the Halloween apothecary jars.

And filled them with treats that remind me of Halloween.

I even got out my glass corn silo.

And filled it with what else but candy corn!

I am dreaming of Fall breezes.

If you have a Cracker Barrel restaurant nearby, they have a lot of autumn, halloween and thanksgiving stuff out now. Might help you think it was october for a little bit......

Now it is official! Autumn is on its way! We just got back from running errands, and passed by a Cracker Barrel. I mentioned to my Hubs that they should have their Halloween out by now. .they did last year at this time! Michaels and Hobby Lobby are getting their orange and black (and now lime green and purple) seasonal stock in now too!

At the beginning of this week, I seriously thought about trading out things in my curio cabinet for Halloween, but decided to wait until we get back from our trip to Mayo's. It will give me something fun to look forward to doing.

I love seeing all of your delightful signs! It will actually help make these super icky 90 degree temps tolerable. We are on the downhill side now! Yippee!!!

Wow Jaz! You are rushing Autumn! I can't say as I blame you. If where you are is anything temperature wise like here in SC, I completely understand! Actually Autumn can't come soon enough for me either!

I just visited via Marigold's site. I love Autumn too. It is my favorite time of year. It will be upon us soon. I love your site. One question. Where did you find candy corn at this time of year? Happy Haunting.
I must admit I had to check the date. I love your decorations, but do hope for a little more summer yet.
