Teddy and a Tip

Teddy is really looking better. She gets groomed today and she really needs it. There is this strange green patch on her mane that has been there since surgery and we can't get it off. Hopefully it will wash away today.

The hair around her eyes is growing in fast.

I have a tip for the cabbage bread that I forgot to point out when I posted the recipe. When you wrap the dough, wrap it with the leaf turned backwards. You want the rigid veins against the dough to get the impression from the cabbage on the rolls.

I have made these about 5 times in the last few days. That is how fast they get eaten around here.

I've started planting mums. I planted 48 of them a few days ago.

I have 48 more to go. I am sticking them in everywhere. Notice they are planted next to my basil here.

They fill the raised planters.

And they are in all of the urns.

Here they are with chives and basil.

I found some nice metal hanging witches at Michaels.

And they are hanging in the cage on the potting table.

Along with even more mums!

I wonder if they may have spilled some iodine type product on her coat,, or something like that,, our little guy had a strange dye spot on his poor little head as well after surgery and with half his head shaved and the other have green he was not a pretty boy at all.May I ask a question,, I hate to make a bother of myself but,, how long will your mums last?
Mum's the word! Sorry, couldn't resist that obvious and bad play on words.
My cabbage bread will be going in the oven in about 30 minutes. I'll let you know how they are.

Teddy looks so sweet. I haven't even thought about mums yet. I better hurry.

Good thing you've got those witches contained - who KNOWS the trouble they'd get into if they were on the loose! :-)
Teddy is BEAUTIFUL - can't wait to see her post-grooming.

Okay, it's official. Now that I'm single and don't have a Halloween-hating mate, I'm putting up my stuff now! Hell, I might just make it Halloween year-round. Teddy is looking good and happy. What a fluffy girl. I am sure she's excited about autumn weather almost as much as you are.

Teddy is looking just terrific. Back in the day, when my knees weren't so bad I'd be out planting MUMS too. Sounds like you got alot to go around everything. The witches look bewitching.

Love the witch - though I think you should set her free to fly about in the trees. :) Can't begin to imagine how you manage to dry a dog like Teddy. That has to take some time.
