Hey fluffy butt!
Before I get to Teddy, I thought I would show a few pics of a farm I looked at a couple days ago.
I am looking for a small farmhouse to buy. My place is far too big and it is time to downsize. I expect this to be a lengthy process so I might as well get started. I like to house hunt in winter because I like seeing things when they look their worst.
This place was interesting but not the property for me.
It sits at the bottom of a steep ravine and a stream splits right behind the property. This is one of two cold cellars.
This is the other one.
As pretty as this area is, it was like walking on a sponge. I am sure when it rains, this is a swimming pool.
One of the streams. And in true form, I forgot to take a pic of the main house. But take my word for it, it was cute. Small but cute! I shall keep on looking.
Back to Teddy. Here Teddy...time for treats...and pills.
Pills you say? I don't think so!
No pills for me!
I know I need them but they taste awful.
But, mama does wrap them in tasty treats!
Just the thought of those pills makes me shake all over.
NO NO NO NO NO PILLS!!!!
Okay...I know I have to.
Slowly I move, step by step, inch by inch....
Okay mama...bring them on, let's get this over with.
While Teddy gets her pills, I thought I would show you what is going on in the upper gardens. The squirrels have attacked my pumpkins. They have wiped out quite a few already.
Someone said to rub the pumpkins with Armoral sheets to keep the squirrels away. It seemed to be working until yesterday. Look how shiny it makes them!
Good thing I closed the pool early.
A touch of red here and there.
Mostly the tops of the trees are changing.
This is why teddy is taking pills. Look at her poor eyes. Right after her surgical cone was removed, she developed a rash around her eyes. I was sure it had something to do with surgery or that she was allergic to her eye drops. Then recently I realized, she has hot spots from wearing the cone. Chows develop hot spots very easily. When she was wearing the cone it was during some of the hottest days of the summer. Her breathing created moisture inside the cone and basically the cone became a petri dish. This poor puppy must have been so itchy while she was wearing that thing. As soon as it came off she started scratching and then the hot spots became infected. Now she gets 75 mg of antibiotics for a month. These pills stink so bad that I can hardly stand to smell them and they freak her out. Plus I have to give her eye drops and rub a lotion on the hot spots. Much more fussiness than this chow likes. So, I now wrap the pills in Limburger cheese and wrap that in smoked salmon. So far so good. This is going to be a long month! And I stink!

Poor Teddy. I am sorry for her discomfort. I hope it clears up very quickly.
Now, when I can I ship you a goat?
