Father's Day Dinner

I like to make a special dinner that the whole family can enjoy for Father's Day.  I made surf and turf with scalloped potatoes.

I heavily season the filets with salt, pepper and granulated garlic.

The lobster tails were huge so I cooked them out of their shells.

Topped with pats of butter and cooked under the broiler they are perfect.

When cooking steaks indoors, I like to use a cast iron skillet.

A filet is best seared on the outside and medium rare on the inside.

Everyone enjoyed their meal including Teddy who got a mini filet and some lobster.  Puppy heaven!

Let me tell you that LOOKS so delicious. Particularly the LOBSTER part. LOVE lobster. But haven't had in in ages. Happy to hear Teddy scored a plate of scrumptiousness.
We had scalloped potatoes too! Only with grilled ribs and glazed carrots. Yours looks divine! Lucky Teddy!

you are so good to everybody, :)
Wonderful looking dinner. I agree with the cast iron skillet. No better way to cook the perfect steak.

Who wouldn't enjoy a meal like that :-) Long time since I had lobster, I think it's time to visit some of my fisherman friends again :-)

Have a great day!
