Knitting Again

I am not sure why, but the hotter it gets, the more I want to knit.  Maybe it is because today is the longest day of the year.  And you know what that means?  Tomorrow the days start to get shorter.  I am in official countdown mode to shorter days and cooler weather!  So, I am trying to finish this knitted throw.

It is knitted with 8 different types of yarn all in a winter white color.  Winter...YES!  As I knit this I can imagine snuggling under it as it is snowing outside.

I also just finished the world's longest scarf.  I got a little carried away.

I know it seems early to start the Fall countdown but if I actually wait until the first day of Fall, then it is over way too fast.  It is 95 degrees here today with high humidity.  So, a girl can dream can't she?

As strange as it sounds, I do the exact same thing! I just started my husband a sage green moss stitch scarf last week!! I long for perpetual fall, if only there was a planet that had that, I would move! Nice knitting!

I'm with you! But first I need to finish a cross-stitch portrait of the Frost Queen, a 3rd stocking face, & put 3 stockings together.

I wish I could be just as positive as You when it comes to autumn :-) I hate it when it turns again and the days get shorter and shorter. I guess it helps that we rarely get it as hot as it does over at Yours :-)

I wonder if the scarf I got from You isn't at least as long as the one You show today :-) I love it and I never freeze when wearing it :-)

Have a great day!
Christer.
Your throw and scarf are beautiful, but I don't want to hear any more about fall and winter weather. I'm enjoying the 90 degree weather. haha

I like to crochet in the heat, and I can't explain it. I am patiently waiting for fall. I like the summer but not humidity and unfortunately we get lots of that here. Tomorrow and Thursday we will be breaking record temps - supposed to feel like 105! ay yay yay. xo

That is an interesting way to look at it. Here is feels too hot for me to think about knitting. Not that I knit anyway. But I live the product of knitting. That would be a nice way to start thinking about autumn and Halloween.

Knitting and staying in out of the worst of the heat sounds like a great idea.
I think everything looks good, too. :o)
Dream, Jaz! Dream of snow! And give that scarf to some tall basketball player.

LOVE that you are doing this during the summer thinking ahead to snowflakes. Years ago I decided that both of my daughters needed to learn to knit. I myself do not know how. So I paid a lady to teach them. Every now and then they still get the urge to do it. AMAZING what you can create. LOVE the worlds longest scarf. LOL. ENJOY.
Good news! You are knitting!

So this means, that you must have-your-hand-back. Wonderful...

I do not wish to even imagine Fall/Winter. The last one was too long and painful. You should come to my house in a few months for some exciting snowy days!

LOVE your throw and scarf. I really love the super long scarves. Your hand is hopefully improving! Hooray!

How do you manage to do so much with your hand still not at 100%! I am just amazed!
