A Summer Pasta and More Halloween

This is a wonderful pasta that uses up lots of your tomatoes and basil.  It is very simple, light and fresh tasting.

But first a little Halloween.  I am trying to will Fall to arrive since we are having mid 90 temps again.  Will this summer ever end?

A couple Halloween signs I bought in Salem.

I got out some of my Halloween jewelry.

I love these bracelets. I actually have created my own Halloween charm bracelet over the years.  I will take photos of it and show it soon.

I have no idea why I took a pic of this acorn bracelet upside down. I like to wear these three together.

Back to the pasta.  Dice up a bunch of tomatoes and shred some fresh basil.

Mince as many garlic cloves as you like.

Add some freshly cracked black pepper and sea salt.

Pour in a couple glugs of olive oil.

Stir it together and let it sit at room temperature for an hour.

The tomatoes release their juice and mix with the basil, garlic and salt and pepper to make a tasty sauce.

Boil 1 pound of spaghetti, drain it and immediately mix it with the sauce.  The spaghetti soaks up a lot of the juice.

Sprinkle it with grated Parmesan cheese.  It tastes like summer in a bowl.

I don't know...when you start using these technical terms like "glug" I find it hard to follow your delicious recipes ;)
that acorn bracelet is such a winner.
this reminds me SO much of how K. would wish for the hot temperatures to fade and the cool ones to start!

Oh YUM!!! Love pasta most of all and I have some fresh basil I must use up soon so I will make this easy dish. I will use the Dreamfield (black box) pasta. I have found that to be very tasty pasta.

And.... love love love the charm bracelets!! Bet they look smashing all together, with a black turtleneck.

And finally.... Fall is almost here in Anchorage. The days are still pleasant but the evening sky is brisk and so is the early morning too. Boo!!
