Good Energy Needed in a Big Way

I know some of you have noticed that my best friend Bev has not been blogging or commenting for the last month.  The last time we heard from her was just before her big church auction where she baked cakes and cookies that would be sold at the auction to raise money for her church.  A woman bought her apple mabon cake for over 100.00!  Bev baked like crazy that week.  The following week she felt like she was coming down with the flu.  The symptoms subsided but she was unusually fatigued. Those of you who know Bev know that she is a bundle of energy. After days of being exhausted she went to see her doctor.  Bev has lung cancer and lymph node cancer.  It is incurable but treatable.  She wanted to wait until she got  a full diagnosis before letting you know what is going on with her.  She starts chemo next week.  I am devastated.  Once again, I am far away and feel as helpless as I can be.  Bev beat cancer 10 years ago and responded very well to chemo. This is a new cancer and she is going to need a lot of energy to fight the fight again. Please.. please.. please if you can find the time to stop by her blog and leave her some words of encouragement, do so.  I think that in times like this the power of positive energy and prayer can be very heeling.  And yes Bev, I used the "P" word.  Beverly is a big believer in prayer.  Bev is always helping others, cooking and giving away her wonderful food.  She can use our help now. Thank you all who will help Bev prepare for this challenge.  Just click on this link to visit Bev: http://beverlysbackporch.blogspot.com/

Joyce, I sent Bev an email. This is such disheartening news, but Bev seems like a strong woman who won't take crap off of anyone or anything including cancer. Will keep her in my thoughts and a candle lit for her.

I just hate hearing this news. I love Bev and her blog. I will, however, see her in perfect health and glowing as she usually does. I will see her whole and healthy. I will keep the positive vibes.
Went over and left a comment... On her last post, which was Oct. 3rd. Hope she will get it.

So sad. So, so sad.

Yes, it's fine to use the "P" word, even by those of us, who don't "do" it. Prayer, good wishes, good vibes, well wishing in all forms... They are all good.

And that last saying ("They're all good" or "It's all good.") is the saying of another blogging friend, who has just completed her treatments for breast cancer...

Sadly, breast cancer is something we are too familiar with here, since our daughter had it, and beat it. But the memory remains...

Dear Joyce,
This has to be very difficult for you after just having lost your other good friend to this terrible disease. We are with you and have sent a message to Beverly. Our Goatmother just finished treatment for breast cancer. We are sending good wishes, angel hugs, and yes, even prayers your way and to Beverly. Truly the more energy directed, the more powerful the healing.

I wanted to tell you thank you for your report on Bev. I had asked about her before but that never showed up.

I'm going to say it. ."Well CRAP". .I'm thinking worse, but I'm trying to keep this family friendly. And those are the last negative thoughts about Bev that will go through my brain. I'm a firm believer of positive and healing energies. They with the aid of medical treatments have kept my hubby going for many years now. And now, most certainly, Bev is added to my list.

I know that if you were there, you would be cooking, baking, cleaning, and pampering her, and I can relate to the feeling of helplessness. .but you can continue to send her your love, your healing prayers, and let her know that she is not forgotten. That happens more often than I like to think about. .people distance themselves, both emotionally and physically, and we won't let that happen to Bev! It is time to rally and while she is the one doing the fighting, we can all be there to help keep her strong.

Thank you SO much for letting us know. HUGE Hugs to you, too!!!

I will definitely keep her in my prayers and send good thoughts her way!
I am so sorry about your friend and of course I will stop by and give her some encouragement and certainly say a prayer-for her and you.
I stopped by and let Bev know I would be praying for her.

The universe is on alert. She will be remembered for healing and health.

Happy you shared with us. Lighting a candle of healing for Bev.

Saying a prayer for you too. ((hugs))
Oh no, I was wondering why I haven't heard from Bev lately! I will definitely add Bev to my "prayer pot" and pray for a miracle!

Your news about dear Bev has just floored me and I have written to her immediately. Sometimes things just aren't fair. She is ill and I have a dear friend battling acute leukemia and I find myself asking "Why" when I know we are not supposed to question. So, so unfair. I thought maybe she just needed a break from posting, never thinking this could be the news. And to think I would not know yet if I had not gotten to your blog from hers. Thank you for telling us.

Hi Joyce, I am not familiar with Bev's blog, but I certainly will keep her in my prayers. Bev sounds like a wonderful Lady, if she can beat cancer once, she can do it again. Off to her blog to offer support. Greetings, Julie.
