Garlic Cheese Sticks

I showed this bread, which I served with my Turkish breakfast recently, and had several requests for the recipe.  You can use it for these bread sticks or make the dough into pizza.  I forgot lots of photos when I made this but basically you just use a pizza cutter to cut this into strips.  It is fabulous and very easy.

The Dough:

1 C. warm water
2-1/4 tsp. rapid rise yeast
1 T, honey
2 tsp. salt
1 T. oil
3 C. flour

Mix this together and knead until you have a smooth ball and place it in a greased bowl, cover and let it rise until it doubles.

Spread it out on a piece of parchment which has been sprinkled with a bit of cornmeal.  Mix 2 T. of softened butter with 2 minced garlic cloves.  Spread that on top of the dough. Sprinkle it with 1/4 C. Parmesan cheese, 1/4 C. grated mozzarella, S&P and some oregano.  Bake it at 500 degrees for about 10 minutes.

It's snowing on your blog!
It's pouring here; the temperature shot up to the mid 40ies and it's miserable. It's going to drop to the teens tomorrow so you can imagine the mess we are going to have.
OY!

The bread looks delicious.

I love those teaspoons with chocolate that I got from You! I've never seen anything like it here :-) Those bags with powdered chocolate is soo delicious too :-) I must see if I can find any of them over here :-)

Have a great day!

Another goodie I want to try from your kitchen!
By the way....love the new background and snowflakes!!
Honey!!!

A local pizzaria has crust, with a little sweetness to it and it is (was, when I could ear flour) delicious. (Did you ever have pizza from D'Andrea's, when you were here?)

Betcha' your recipe makes a slightly sweet result.
