These were delivered yesterday from my daughter. A surprise indeed. She just wanted to tell us we are great parents. Thanks so much daughter! You are wonderful too. I love the wintry colors and the pine cones.
Most of you were close on what I was making yesterday. I made seafood chowder for the shelter. Clams, shrimp, scallops......
A bacon base....
Onions and spices.....
Lots of chopped fresh vegetables and corn...a great way to serve fresh vegetables.
And I made biscuits. 200 biscuits.
These are the same as the ones they serve at Red Lobster.
And 5 quarts of German cucumber salad.
Half of the biscuits disappeared from the time I walked in the front door until I made it to the kitchen.
Recipe for Chesapeake Bay Biscuits:
3 cups pf Bisquick
1-1/2 C. milk
1 C. grated cheddar cheese
minced parsley
1 tsp. garlic powder
4 T. melted butter
1/2 tsp. salt
Mix the cheese with the Bisquick. Mix the milk, butter, parsley, garlic and salt and stir into the Bisquick mix. Stir just until combined. Do not over mix. Scoop with a 1/2 cup ice cream scoop onto parchment paper covered cookie sheets. Brush with garlic butter and sprinkle with Old Bay Seasoning. Bake at 400 degrees for 15 minutes.
