Three Years Ago

I have been very busy preparing gumbo for the shelter.  As I type, I have 50 quarts of it bubbling away.  I've had no time to photograph anything so I thought I would look back in time and see what I was doing at this same time of year.  I found these photos from 3 years ago.  It is never a good thing when you have to force open the door to push away the snow.

You know how much I love winter and snow.

But it is good to remind myself that too much of a good thing is, well....not good!

This was the driveway I could not get out of for days.  Those are my arborvitaes bent over on the driveway.

 Miraculously, most of them survived.

We had to knock all of the snow off of them and tie them upright again.

Lots of shoveling was done to prepare piddle paths for Teddy.

My sad little potting table became a groaning board.

And the puppy was not happy at all.

Now I just have to figure out how to get this gumbo out to the car!

Fun to see those photographs! Three years ago we had over a yard of snow here, it was the worst winter for over 15 years :-)

Have a great day!

Christer.
2010 hu... Snow!! Wow! How quickly we forget.

Mmmmmmmmm, how long is your back gonna' take it? This lugging those big pots of food?

I remember these pictures. It is a lot of snow.

You need help taking the gumbo out to the car.

A good reminder that you must be careful of what you wish for
Mercy, Joyce, but that is a lot of Gumbo. It was on the news tonight that they are expecting a really horrific storm. Something about two colliding?? Have you heard.
Wondering if it is going to effect you and your trips to the shelter...whatever the case..be careful.
I recently met a woman from the Bay of Fundy..and some the pictures she sent me are amazing.
I LOVE looking at snow..just not too sure I want to live in it. :) Gorgeous though...
Gotta know how you got all that Gumbo into the car? Yikes!
