The Potting Table

The weather was nice enough yesterday to do some outside work, so, I tackled the potting table.
As you can see, it was a mess after a long winter. I bought this table about 5 years ago at a thrift shop.  It is missing a drawer and is a bit rickety but works perfectly as a potting table.

First I cleaned out the bird cage.
Then I started to decorate it.  I placed a ceramic birds nest in the middle.  Click to enlarge any pic.

I have so much work to do in the gardens it is a bit overwhelming.

I decided to try to attack one project each day.  Since this is the area where I do the most garden work, I figured it was a good place to start.

 Clean and partially decorated.

I also cleaned out 4 of the urns and got them ready to be planted.

The area under the table is a real dirt collector.

I added some moss to the base of the bird bath and the bird nests.

And seeing me getting ready for spring my crocuses decided to bloom!  Today I tackle the outside sink.

Too early to do anything here yet, the ground frost is still half a yard deep. But if this weather continues I think I'll be able to find more flowers than snow drops in the garden :-)

Have a great day!
Christer.

Your new background is very Spring-like.

Hubby has actually planted some lettuce and spinach and put the onion sets in so it has begun here too!

And Teddy is a happy dog with the snow all gone.:-) You have been busy with your gardening work. My husband is anxious for the ground to dry enough to work up for the vegetable garden.
