Caramel Covered Pretzel Brownies

Look what I picked from my garden!
The first yellow tomatoes and the first red ones.  This is when you know you are old...when tomatoes excite you!

If you need a very easy recipe for your summer holidays, try this one.  Though I have not tasted this, the guys at the shelter went crazy over it.

You can use boxed brownie mix for this too!  So, it really is easy.  Just mix up a box of brownies and spread half of it in a pan.

Sprinkle small pretzels in a layer over the batter.

Then top them with the other half of the batter and bake according to the package directions.

When it is done baking, cover the top with a jar of caramel sauce.  Salty, sweet, chocolate and caramel.  You can't go wrong with this.

This is a very strange kind of fusion cuisine.
Hooray for your own tomatoes!

and no, it doesn't mean you are old, when first ripe tomatoes excite you.

Betcha' any little kid, whose parents have a garden, would be just as excited. Or more so. :-))))

Ha! I was overjoyed with the fruits of my labor this weekend, too! Got my first red tomatoes - yum! Don't taste quite as good as I remember them tasting when I was a kid in to 70's and 80's though.
That pretzel brownie concoction looks amazing! If it's "Guys from the Homeless Shelter" approved, then I'm in!!!
Have a glorious day!

Congrats on your harvest.
I am, per usual, months away from anything here but lettuce

There's nothing like home grown tomates :-) I wish my had come that far but I think that if we actually get the sun they have promised I might have some in a week or two :-)

That is an easy recipe but I need to stay away from all that for a while, I've eaten way to much cookies and brownies lately and need to loose some weight again :-)

Have a great day!
