The Country Living Fair 2013

It's that time of year again.

Time for The Country Living Fair! We were up and on our way by 4:00 am.

We had Early Bird tickets so were able to get in at 8:30.

Not much of a crowd so early in the morning.  By the time we left it was packed and the lines were as far as you could see.

It was a cool, breezy perfect Fall day.

A chair where you could sit on some eggs.

 Pillows.

 My favorite.

The fair is wonderful but after 4 years, I am seeing mostly the same stuff.

 Grain scale coffee tables.

I think we will take a few years off.

Maybe by then the vendors will change.

We will have to find something to take it's place.

We still had lots of fun though.

There was Halloween and Christmas booths all over the fair.

The trailer girls were there again and this one is for sale.

Some of the booths are really decked out.

There were some really cute food trucks too.

I'll show you more tomorrow and show you what I bought.

That's always a problems with things like that, they tend never to change anything and if they do lots of people get upset :-) But still, I would have loved walking around there since we have nothing like it over here.

Have a great day!
Christer.

Glad you had fun. I still think you are very lucky. We have nothing even close to that out here!

I really like that pile of squash and pumpkins, I haven't seen so many in one place.

I used to attend a Christmas market that had the same vendors every year - had to take a break from that one too. But it still is such a nice venue there - and what a lovely day!

Can't wait to see what you brought home!

I went yesterday. Wish I could have met you. I had to leave early so I didn't get a lot of pictures. But I posted some about the campers. I want one so bad. The one for sale was adorable.
Did you think there was a lot of small vintage junk. I love vintage but so many smalls. Also jewelry , so much. Did you see the figures made from old spice and other tins. I saw it first thing and wish I would have gone back and got one. If I feel better tomorrow I may go back. It was beautiful weather.

Early bird tickets are the way to go! I hate massive crowds.

Have you ever been to the Octoberfest at Stoudt's Brewery? It is a drive, but they have a lot of things going on there.

This fair looked like all kinds of fun. Can't wait to see what you picked up while there.
Ohhh..how I would have bought one of those pumpkin baskets. Not sure why they appealed to me but I would love to have one. I didn't see anything I could not live without..but..of course I had to enlarge the pictures and stare at every little detail! I also love that you get up and out there SO early! Perfect!

It was fun for me to see the pictures, but I know what you mean about seeing the same stuff... we have decided to quit going to the home shows here for a few years, because we see the same vendors and merchandise each time... so we're taking a few years off, too!
