A Christmas Mantel

I am getting a late start on my Christmas decorating this year.  I did manage to get my mantel done yesterday.
I decorated in between baking the rest of the rolls for the shelter.

 Rolls covered every counter top.

Here are some of them packaged and ready for the freezer.  In 2 days I baked almost 800 rolls.  I kept thinking about how long it takes to make them and how quickly they will be eaten.

Time to get my tree. It will sit right where that chair is.  Notice Teddy's stash of toys on the floor next to the chair.  She doesn't play with them much but don't try to move them.  She knows they are hers.

The polar bears are watching you.

I swapped out my pumpkin pillows for these tree pillows and switched my Fall throw for this Christmas one. So much to do and so little time.

I am thinking of those rolls just dripping with butter :)

My decorating consists of hanging bulbs on the cedar tree out near the field where the steers are. So they will get to see the tree more than we do. I'm sure they will be impressed.
All of those rolls sure look good, you will make their day!

such a beautiful home you have its so unusual , eclectic, almost a bit of an elegant goth look, its like a treasure trove of the most unique pieces, you have brought it all together to create magic, such a talent. What are the long tapered green pieces on the mantel, they look like long green aloe vera stems, or are they feathers? Hope you don't mind me asking,

I love your decorations. Your mantel is gorgeous. I haven't started yet. Perhaps after Thanksgiving.

If I had 800 rolls on my kitchen counters, there wouldn't be room for anything else in the kitchen!:) I do believe I would be challenged to find freezer room for that many, too.:) We just might have to eat a few beforehand.:)

Your mantel is beautiful and all those rolls . . . you are a blessing to your community. Your home must smell amazing. I can't believe you call this late . . . other than the outside lights hung and ready to turn on the day after Thanksgiving, I've not given decoration a single thought :) The mantel and the way that large mirror reflects your chandelier is absolutely breathtaking.
Keep Smiling.
Your blogging sister, Connie :)
Looks gorgeous!! Makes me wish I were further along. Still polishing silver!! I have no clue what I'm doing this year. All Fall is down now..trying to move on.
YOU must be dead tired after all that baking?? I get tired just looking at it. It's just so good of you to do all that for others, Joyce! :)

Wonderful! I wasn't excited about holiday decorating, but seeing your mantle has me inspired. I think I'll trim my cedar trees tomorrow for a nice swag.
