A Weihnachts Markt

Teddy is still enjoying the snow.

The Blog Tech and I went down to the heart of the city yesterday to check out a Weihnachts Markt.  You could buy a taste of little Bavaria....strudel!

If nesting dolls are your thing, this is the place for you.

It was fun to walk around and look  at all the booths.

I want to go back at night when it is all lit up.

I am sure this tree looks awesome when it is dark.

This woman's boots match her hair.  How coordinated.

Nice tree?   Surprisingly, buying a tree in the city appeals to me.

We are in a deep freeze and it sure was cold.

Santa!!!

This place was filled with very nice German Christmas items.

Looks charming! I missed the Christmas Market put on by our German community this year -- will have to be more proactive next year! But it's just a few tables at the German-Canadian club, nothing like this!

I made your creamy tomato pasta soup last night and it was very good. We are having it for lunch today! Thank you for sharing.

Looks like fun. Do they just put it up every year?
I cannot believe you have a Käthe Wohlfahrt stall at your Christmas market - that company is Germany's very very best manufacturer of Christmas decorations.

It never look that beautiful any market day over here, just seeing Your photographs made me want to buy things there.

I have actually never bought a Christmas tree in the country side :-) Always in a big city :-) We have very few places where the customer can cut down a tree by themselves and oddly enough most of the trees we buy comes from Denmark :-) Denmark has almost no forests at all and we have more than half the country covered in forests :-)

Have a great day!
Christer.

What a fun market. several years ago we spent Christmas in Germany as our son was leaving for Iraq in Jan. We went to the market in Nuremberg and Rotenburg I bought my wonderful German witch in the Kathe Wohlfahrt sore in Rotenburg.

My husband lived in Germany for three and a half years, and went to the Kristkindlmarkt each year.... what fun to see one there! I wish you would get a picture of that bubble tree at night!
It looks colder than a Witches...you know what! I actually got a chill up my back just looking at the pictures. You didn't have to eat outside I hope. I've never seen a Fair in the city. Interesting!!

I enjoyed looking at this pictures of the German stands. Where is this city? I also love the pictures of Teddy. He is a doll.

This is so cool. They have something like it in Chicago. It was always fun to go and try the festive delicacies.
