Peppermint Marshmallows and Cocoa

I had an idea for a special gift.  It started with the idea to make peppermint marshmallows.

I've always used corn syrup in the past but I wanted to make this gift as organic as possible so I used Lyle's Golden Syrup and organic peppermint flavoring.  They turned out better than any marshmallows I have ever made.
I made a cocoa mix using good German cocoa powder and demerara sugar.

I included these plates and cups and this cookie tray which my kids used when they were little.

And I made some buttery shortbread to go along with it.  It even managed to snow the day the gift was received.

Delicious! Can you send a care package to Poland? ;-) I used to make marshmallows twice a week at the restaurant, but haven't done so at home in ages!

Peppermint marshmallows sounds yummy :-) Marshmallows has never become that big over here, we have similar candy that is too popular I guess but I think they would be very popular if they had peppermint taste!

Those marshmallows in a cup of cocoa and those shortbreads with it and the day is saved :-)

Have a great day!
Christer.

Nothing tastes as good as marshmallows in a cup of hot chocolate on a snowy day. Yours looks scrumptious.

i have been making marshmallows lately, so fun! I use organic DoTerra essential oils to flavor them. Plus i use honey for the sweet ingredient.

can you tell me what you roll the individual marshmallow in? I have been leaving mine plain.

Where have I been? I have never heard of home made marshmallows, I thought it took some kind of machine to make the things!
