Sandwich Bread Recipe and Curried Egg Salad

I would say I am having one of those days but I have wasted so much time with this oven repair that it is turning into having one of those weeks.
Here I sit again, watching the repair person wasting more time. At least he showed up.  I received three different calls from three different people yesterday telling me three different times that he would be here today. It was a range that encompassed the whole day.  Not only is this inconvenient, but Teddy is once again locked up in the library and totally pissed.

Is it just me or have you all had these experiences?  He just told me that the part he ordered is missing something.  Can you hear me screaming?  My oven is now in a million pieces and he is sighing heavily.  Not a good sign.  This is the only company that services this brand of oven in our area.  I am between a rock and a hard place.

Yesterday, while I still had one oven working, I baked some sandwich bread.  Here is the recipe:  http://octoberfarm.blogspot.com/2011/10/white-sandwich-bread.html

Since I might never have my ovens working again, we might have to live on sandwiches.

I made curried egg salad.  You can find this recipe here:  http://octoberfarm.blogspot.com/2011/02/curried-egg-salad-sandwich.html

I sandwiched the egg salad between arugula and butter lettuce to add flavor and keep the bread from getting soggy.

If you don't see a post from me for a while, it is probably due to me being in jail for murdering an oven repairman.

I would come and visit You if that happened :-) But I think a judge might set You free because most people have gone through similar things :-) I've never been through this with an oven but with a car.

That eggs aladis just soo tasty and I might just do it tomorrow.

Have a great day despite everything!
Christer.
I will send you a cake with a file in it. Seems like the least I could do!

Oh boy! Can you ring the brand of oven head office and get their help?
Poor Teddy being locked up I can see if it is not sorted soon she will be let out to deal with the repairmen.
So sorry you are going through this. It must be doing your head in especially at this time of year when you bake such special treats.

you were with me all day, cross my heart and hope to die, I will be your alibi, you spent all day showing me how to make your cabbage bread, remember, it could not have been you, it took all day to teach me, I'm a real slow learner!!!

Oh dear. I do hope that they fix both your ovens once and for all. This is crazy! I'm glad you got all your cookies done though. It still would be nice to have an oven for Christmas though.

Keeping my fingers crossed for you!

Oh yum! and sorry about the repairman, they can be the worst when you need them. It's hard to find the bet ones.
