Looking For The Right Spot

My husband usually takes Teddy out for an early walk each morning. He had an appointment this morning so Teddy's schedule was interrupted.   It is snowing so she laid right inside the door, keeping an eye on her territory but not getting too snowed on.

I knew it was beyond poo time so I threw on a coat and took her out in the yard.

Chow Chows are very different types of dogs.  They are loathe to poo in their own yards.

But it doesn't stop them from looking for the right spot.

Teddy walks behind every bush and basically covers the entire yard.

Maybe by the boxwoods?

Maybe it would be okay to poo in the far corner by the pool?

I guess not.  I also know what's coming.

Okay Teddy, we will go to the lower gardens. She would sit here all day until I open that gate.

Lots of poo places down here.

Okay...I left the actually poo out of this post.  I thought it was a wise choice.  I will tell you though that she picked the spot as far away from the main house as possible and almost pushed her butt through the fence.  If she could pick it up and bag it, I think she would.

She eats a bit of snow on the way back.

She makes sure there are no bad kitties hiding anywhere.

Then it is time to head back to the mother ship and the turbos are turned on.

 She bounds up the steps.

A little break for a breather, these are very steep steps.

And then back through the gate.

Another poo mission accomplished.

Nova can be really picky most times but she's nothing compared to Teddy :-) :-)

Have a great day!
Christer.
Tidy girl, she looks so at home in the snow. You've made it so beautiful there Joyce, like Narnia. xx

Fur babies are so particular in the likes and dislikes. Molly is the same.

gosh your place looks really stunning in the snow - i'm starting to think maybe we do miss out not having snow here. Our dogs aren't fussy where they poop and Stella the poodle is soo embarrassing she walks along plopping instead of stopping and finishing the job! Teddy's coat looks so pretty a lot of brushing I am sure.

My heavens. Such a complicated endeavor to poo. But such a pretty walk.

How clean and tidy, wish the dogs we had in the past were that fussy. Well done Teddy.
Hope you all have a good week. Diane

You just described every day of my life!
Yep..you two have a bond..can read each other's minds! Even covered in snow, your garden is lovely. Mele go's as far from the house as possible to poo..but pee's all over the yard..so we have lovely green spots here and there. I thought it killed grass, but her's doesn't. Hmmm.. Odd.

Made your "The Last Chili Recipe you will ever need" on Sunday and it was fantastic. I just had the last drop for lunch today. I topped ours with Fritos and cheese..delicious.
DIL and son with the restaurant loved it. The only this was I didn't have a big enough pot to go into the oven so I had to cook it on top of the stove. I put it on low and let it simmer for a couple of hours stirring evey now and then. Fantastic. It is my LAST chili recipe. You were right. Even my neighbor wanted the recipe.
Next? The Spanish Bar cake. In the middle of the sweet rolls!
Good heavens, Joyce, I'm cooking again! Never thought it would happen. What fun!!
