Remember the strawberries from the other day?
I turned them into strawberry jam for the shelter.
I got slightly under 1 gallon and now I need to bake biscuits.
I bought a ton of beets and eggs too.
I'm making the men pickled eggs and beets.
It is so windy today that one of Teddy's umbrellas was blown over.
If you look closely at the left corner of the pool, you will see a robin.
The pool will be opened soon.

In the 15 years since I planted these boxwood's, I have never seen this kind of winter damage on them. |

So much bad weather in the north and midwest, and east coast, many are stunned by the damage.
Never tasted pickled eggs. I imagine i would like them.
Hope your new ovens are broken in and doing a good job for you.

You certainly spoil those fellas!!!
I saw my first bluebird so I know spring is coming.
That kind of damage on boxwood is the normal thing up here, Here it's usually the sun making those damages since it burns the leafs this early in the year.
I think Your Robin is bigger than ours. I rarely see them here but so far tghis year I've seen them a lot, I hope some move here because they are nice little birds.
We're saying Hi from Sweden :-)
Have a great day!
Christer.
Our hydrangea doesn't look very good from the winter.
Is Teddy's paw recovering?
The shelter is one lucky place indeed!
Box are usually pretty hardy too. I found a box variety called Green Mountain Box which are lovely, hardy and grow more quickly than the classic one.....which I have as well but in a sheltered spot.
My frig is full of fresh strawberries covered with sugar. I should make it into a bit of Jam. I will look for a recipe tomorrow.
Those men will be in heaven when they see the goodies you have brought them. :) I would pin a medal on you if I could! :)
As I am writing this, Bon Bon is making himself comfortable near my desk. Oh no, he had fallen asleep already!
I can hear his "say Hi to Teddy" through the loud snoring )
I wait for the water to boil before placing the eggs in the pan.
After boiling the eggs, I plunge
them into ice water and the peels
just fall away smoothly.
