Giant Chocolate Chip Walnut Cookies

My guys like their desserts so I try to always have something good around when their sweet tooth starts aching. I have to dish these out one by one or they would be gobbled quickly.  However, someone did find the stash and helped themselves to extras.  I caught the so called culprit with his hand in the proverbial cookie jar.
This recipe makes giant chocolate chips cookies.  I added roasted walnuts to them too.

 Here is my recipe:

Ingredients:

2 sticks cold and cubed unsalted butter
1 cup granulated sugar
1 cup light brown sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
2 3/4 cup flour
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp.baking powder
1/4 tsp baking soda
2 1/2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
1 cup of chopped walnuts

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
In bowl of electric mixer fitted with paddle, cream together butter and sugars until well blended and fluffy. Add eggs and mix in vanilla and beat until blended.
Add flour, salt, baking soda, baking powder and mix until combined. Fold in chocolate chips and nuts. I used an ice cream scoop to form balls.
Place on a pan lined with parchment paper and bake in the preheated oven 20-25 minutes until lightly browned. Do not overbake. Let cool on rack and store in an airtight container.

I got 14 saucer sized cookies from this recipe.

My problem is that no one dish them out one by one to me :-) :-) :-) These would all be eaten before the sun set tonight if I made them :-) They do look delicious and they must be even better with roasted walnuts!

Have a great day!
Christer.

Once they know where the stash is, it's all over. You'll have to make more.

they sound and look amazing, the best chocolate chip cookie recipes always start with one cup butter one cup brown sugar an one cup white, I think its the two sugars that give the best cookies, when I worked as a cook I made a batch a day, all summer, I would be weeks making them in head, this is quite like mine, yummo!!

Oh, my! These wouldn't even make it to the cookie jar with me around! I have been known to eat half a dozen before they are removed from cookie sheet! Of course, they were not quite this jumbo size, but still not miniature! I just had to stop baking them.:-)
