Looking Back

One of the advantages of blogging is the ability to look back and see what you were doing on the same date the previous year.  Or years for that matter.  It cracks me up to see that often I was cooking the same thing on the same date.  This morning I decided to make caramel sauce.  I also was thinking of getting my blow molds out.  When I clicked on this date for last year, I had my blow molds sitting out ready to be arranged and plugged in.
And I had made caramel apples.  I am so predictable!
I can also look back and see how I decorated. This is not always a good thing.
Suddenly, last years porch looked much better than this years.

 Rather bland looking this year.

Last years had lot more details.

 Even teddy looked fluffier.

I had lots more pumpkins at this time last year.  I need to find more fast and add them out front.
Ten more pumpkins might do the trick don't you think?

is there ever too many pumpkins?????
Good luck with pumpkin hunting, you really made me think with your comment of our predictability each year, I suppose its because we know what we like, you creativity shows in all you do and your love for Fall, I wish it would last longer for you, winter comes much too soon,
You have just scratched the decorating surface and will kick into high gear in no time, I'm sure!

I do the same thing, I revisit posts from past years, especially as a month ends and a new one starts. I am actually doing it right now.

I love your porch! A few more pumpkins would look good. So far I have seen only the fake ones and the ones at Michaels were too shiny this year. With temps in the 80's again this coming week-end, I'm afraid Fall is skipping us this year!

I don't know... I think it looks marvelous. But, as Laurie M said, is there such a thing as too many pumpkins??
You can never have too many pumpkins. Just saying. I keep a diary and noticed the same thing about doing the same things, at same time, year to year. Interesting isn't it?
At LEAST ten more! :) And I agree...your front is looking a lot blander than last year...but heck, you just started!!
