Cooking Class

 More Fall colors.

I would like to roll down this hill.

I had a request to make meatloaf.  I put up some ketchup recently and homemade meatloaf and ketchup is a favorite meal here.  I forgot some photos.  I mixed 1 pound of ground beef and 1 pound of ground pork with sauteed onions, peppers and garlic.  Add 1 sleeve of crushed crackers, 3 eggs, 1 T. Worcestershire sauce, 1/4 C. tomato paste, S & P.  Mix thoroughly, form into a loaf and cover with thin bacon slices. Back on a rack over a cookie sheet at 350 degrees until it reaches and internal temperature of 170 degrees.

I taught The Blog Tech to bake an apple pie.

Right out of the oven.

A nice little bundle.

Served with garlic mashed potatoes and the last beans from the garden.

Great job Blog Tech!

Maybe I can retire from pie baking now.

That meatloaf looks scrumptious. Congrats to the Blog Tech on a pie well made. You don't really want to retire, do you?

Comfort food for sure! Yum!
I am going to try your recipe too. I just made your short rib recipe and it was absolutely delicious! I followed it very closely except for the wine. I didn't have any. I've loved every recipe I've ever tried of yours.
