Teddy

Look what my friend Laurie ( http://ilovedacloudyday.blogspot.com/) painted for me!  She is such a wonderful artist!  I shall cherish this forever.
For now my little pumpkin is sitting on my desk under my pumpkin light until I find the right frame.
I bought some good bagels when I was at the Westside Market the other day and so I made our favorite bagel spread for them.  It's so simple but really good.  Just mix and 8 oz. bar of cream cheese with some finely diced shallots and some chopped green olives.
Spread it on a toasted everything bagel and eat it with a cup of coffee.  Mmmmmm!

That is a beautiful picture of TEDDY. Something to cherish, for sure. That cream cheese and bagel looks mighty good. I'll have mine with a tea latte.

What a great gift, I love Laurie's watercolor sketches. Whatever she sketches looks like a mini masterpiece.

Really good painting of cute Teddy!

I have never eaten a bagel, have no idea how they taste :-) I have a bread cook book with a recipe fro them but if I remember they are slightly complicated to do?

Have a great day!
Christer.

What a cute portrait!

About the bagels, I brought back a dozen from St-Viateur in Montreal, but they turned out to be 15.

Laurie is so amazingly talented, as someone above said, her watercolors are mini masterpieces. I would treasure that too.

And we make a very similar cream cheese spread, using shallots, pepper and garlic. I will have to try the olives that sounds wonderful.

Wonderful likeness of sweet fluff ball, Teddy! A very talented painter! I have to admit that I just ached with longing when I read your post about the West Side Market. I grew up in Cleveland and spent most of my formative adult life there. The market is the thing I miss the most. Besides a good bagel... :)
She is a wonderful person as well as artist! What a treasure she sent you! It's a wonderful gift!
