Hamburger Sliders for a Crowd

I had a request to make 150 hamburger sliders for a shower yesterday. That is a rather daunting request unless you make them like I will show you.  This technique makes it very doable.

Cover a cookie sheet with parchment paper and sprinkle it liberally with dried onions.  Place 2 pounds of ground beef on top of them.  Don't use lean ground beef or your sliders will be tough.
Place plastic wrap over the beef.
Roll it out to the edges, it doesn't have to be perfect.  Remove the plastic wrap and sprinkle the beef with some seasoned salt.  Bake this at 350 degrees for about 20 minutes.

Remove it from the oven and sprinkle it with grated cheddar cheese.

Place it back in the oven just until the cheese melts. Cut them into squares which will fit your buns.

Add some ketchup, mustard and a few pickle chips. One recipe will make about 35 sliders.

It helps to make the slider buns ahead of time and freeze them.  This is a great recipe to use for Memorial Day or 4th of July parties.
Though it was bitterly cold, Teddy was soaking up the rays!

How smart!
I was thinking of either making hamburgers today or just grill some sausages. Too bad I bought sausages because I could have made many and put the ones I didn't want now in the freezer. Well, I'll do that next time instead :-)

Have a great day!
Christer.
