Old Fashioned Orange Cookies

These are my favorite cookies from when I was a small child.  My friend's grandmother used to make them and they were always such a treat.
I've posted these before and you can find the recipe here:  http://octoberfarm.blogspot.com/2011/01/old-fashioned-orange-frosted-cookies.html

They are a very light refreshing springtime cookie.

They have such a fresh orange flavor that the The Blog tech said he actually got a seed when he bit into one of them!

I have to confess, never been a big fan of orange flavoured desserts, but I'd try this one.
Anything citrus-y is nice for Spring!

I do like orange flavored cookies, especially orange flavored chocolate covered oatcookies but I've never tried these so I'll put them on my to do list :-)

Have a great day!

Orange cookies are hstoric in my husband's family. It started with his grandmother. Now every year at the reunion his aunt makes plates of them . We have an auction. They go for about $30.
The younger members keep passing on the love. They post pictures during the year just to tease each other.
And they are awesome.
