The Library

A quick post today as I am expecting the plumber which is a miracle.  With the winter we have had, plumbers have been incredibly busy and it is almost impossible to get one to come out.  This one is just fixing my shower.  I still can't find one to fix my snow melt. I have to hide out in a room with Teddy so she doesn't eat him.  A few of you asked to see more of my library so I snapped a few quick pics for you.

It's funny the things you don't notice until you take photos.  Like the painting on the floor that needs to be rehung since it was taken down when I put the Xmas tree up almost 3 months ago. We are getting snow today and you can see it laying on the holly outside of the windows.

I like winter so much that I have paintings of snow all over my home like the one above.  Okay...gotta run...there is lots of growling going on and the plumber isn't even here yet!

The library is spectacular, but hey ! you have one empty shelf.....saving this for something special. Don't worry about the picture on floor, I have one up in front of bureau mirror that's been there since the repainting of bedroom...and that was three years ago no four!

That painting on the wall with all the snow looks Colorado - we have avalanche warning all over the state!

droool! Love the gold touches. The main door into the library is really wide rather stunning. Bet you didn't think someone would ask for closeups of the books that are on the shelves. I'd be in heaven in that room. Thanks so much for sharing. I'll have to ask Brent what gold flower curtain rod end was in the homestead we were in and come back and tell you. I should of taken photos you would of loved them.
Hope Teddy is well and copes with the plumber

I hope the plumber is wearing a good tight belt, and maybe even suspenders!

A very elegant, almost regal room - well done. What is a snow melt system? Is it like under floor heating for the drive?

One word. STUNNING.
OMG! I think an explitive came out of my mouth when I saw the rest of the room! OH JOY! It's just plain gorgeous! :) Thanks for sharing it. I can't wait until Sunday so I can show Cheryl the rest of the room. We were laughing because we were trying to peek around the corner when we looked at the fireplace! *heavy SIGH*
Teddy. HOW on earth do they know when someone is coming. Is it something we convey to them? You would almost think they understand what we are saying! Teddy is obviously no fool. She knows full well you are up to something! LOL
Sorry, but it's funny! :)

I could easily tuck into a corner of your library and read for days. If Teddy let me, that is...
