Happy Summer Solstice

We have crossed the hump.  The days begin to get shorter now.  My time of year is on the way.

Though we will still have many more sunny and hot days, Fall will be here before you know it.

I savor these days and observe every change.

This year has flown by.  Isn't it strange how time seems to move faster the older we get?

This week I will start making Fall decorations.  I have lots of new ideas for decorating and I have lots to create.

 The dark will return.

Teddy is ready.

Here I "celebrated" today's solstice by having one of the worst bit of insomnia in a long time. When I managed to sleep, daylights were already showing. I blame the long days.

That said, I intend to enjoy summertime this year. Although I will seriously start longing for autumn circa mid-August.

Oh and I forgot to tell how much I love that woodman on the second picture.

Yes Your time is coming and mine is going :-) But I'm pretty sure I would have felt just the same if our summers were as hot as Yours! We're having a thunderstorm passing by now, it is solazy it only let a flash go every ten minutes and it is so slow that I've seen the better weather in the horizon almost not moving closer at all. Wit the speed it has now it won't arrive until tomorrow :-)

Happy Summer Solstice!

We've hardly had any summer here so I'm not quite ready for it to be over yet. But like Guillaume, I could do with longer nights. I awoke at 3.40am today and it was already getting light this far north! I did manage to get back to bed. Teddy looks most regal on that superbly decorated front step area.
Summer solstice blessings to you, Joyce!

Happy Solstice! So glad to see someone else as excited for summer for the same reason as myself--that Autumn is coming next.

Don't wish away the summer just yet! This is my favourite time of year. Long evenings, warm night. But I'm glad it doesn't last forever or I'd probably work myself to death!

PLEASE show us your crafts! I need inspiration to get in gear and do it now instead of waiting till the last minute! Love your blog and read it almost every day!

I am asking Keith to budget so that I can decorate at the National Agriculture Center (the Ag Hall of Fame) where I am volunteering now. I hoping we can buy a couple hundred dollars worth of pumpkins, gourds, and cornstalks when the time comes, so that a friend and I can decorate Farm Town, and the replica farmhouse there... I can JUST SEE IT (just like you!)

I'm glad Teddy is ready. I'm not. Time is flying by way too quickly, way, way too quickly.
