This is a quick, easy and very tasty dish. You can use any kind of mushrooms you like, I used button mushrooms. |
Add some diced fresh herbs, I used sage, basil, oregano, rosemary and parsley. Slice about 8 mushrooms and add them along with more butter if needed. Saute them until they wilt and then add 1 cup of chicken stock and 1/2 cup of cream.
Add 1 tablespoon of truffle oil.
While that simmers, boil 1 pound of linguine.
Drain it and toss it with the mushroom sauce and serve it with additional parsley and a sprinkling of Parmesan cheese.
On a side note......my bathroom is working again after 1 entire year! When I had my bathrooms done years ago, someone did not install an access panel for this shower. Over a year ago the shower system failed and needed to be replaced. This meant removing tile to install the new unit and of course I could not find matching tile. I decided to install a panel of tile which I hoped would look like it was meant to be there. I ordered the tile and was told that since it was a custom order, it would take 4 months to get it made. I agreed to it not thinking it would take much longer than 4 months. I sure was wrong.
So, after 1 whole year the shower is now working. The new unit is off center because of the way the old plumbing was installed but I really don't care. It's done and water comes out of it and I am back to having two working bathrooms...woohoo!!! Of course my house redo is still underway with no end in sight yet nut that is a whole other story.

The shower looks great also,, long wait though, good thing you have more than one bathroom or you would have been really hurting!!!!
I've never had a house with two bathrooms so I guess I would be bathing in the lake!
That is a good looking shower!
Have a great day!

Oh, mushrooms and linguine. So good!
It will be wonderful to be able to get in that beautiful shower again. The plumbing in our home is original from the late 1950's and surprised me it is still going. The sinks are cracked in both bathrooms and I am so anxious to have those fixed. They are unsightly..but at least they are working. I try not to think about it. Some day we will have them replaced. (So he says!) I try not to look at them. :)
That shower turned out beautiful!!
