A Christmas Front Door

I am having trouble getting my Xmas mojo on this year.  Maybe it's the weather which is hardly fall-like let alone wintery.
Or maybe it's six months of getting up at 2:30 each morning.  The workers are almost done until Spring. Am I sounding like the grinch?

At least I got my front door decorated but I still don't have my tree.  Someone needs to sneak a couple extra months in between Halloween and New Years.

It's hard to get in the holiday spirit when it's raining and in the 50s. Your wreath is just lovely! I'm sure you and Teddy will enjoy having your mornings back.

Our next door neighbours (duplex - so party walls) are putting in an extension, so I sympathise about the early starts due to workmen. BUT your wreath has just given me some inspiration on how to liven up my slightly tired one.
Cut yourself some slack this year. You deserve it!

Love your door! I'm a bit behind my usual routine here, too. Needing some extra hours in the day!:-)

No Christmas mojo here either. What is the gold rectangle on the door right hand side? We have a letter slot on ours but it looks different than this. The house does lokk lovely all painted. Love the gold knobs on steps.

Still looking for my mojo, too, although my decorating is done, because I always start Hallowe'en night.

But this is the first time in 40 years I didn't enjoy it. I had to force myself to decorate the trees. It's not very wintery yet here, either, but I lived in Los Angeles for 20 years and warm weather never stopped me from enjoying my decorating!
I'm in the boat with you--usually by this time of the year my house is fully decorated not this year. Temps on most days are in the 70's and I am searching for my Christmas spirit. If you see it please send it south.

Your front door is magnificent. What a treat for your neighbors to get to walk past and see it all done up every year and through the seasons.
