The Christmas Tree

 I finished the tree.
BTW...the kids loved the Frito pies yesterday and not a drop was left.  It's hard to imagine that they can eat that much food.

 My decorating might be done.

A little display on an antique chest I bought in Korea and two Korean lanterns.

My TV is in that cabinet and Tommy tumbleweed sits in the green bowl on top.  My husband chased Tommy down on a road in Sante Fe and we shipped him home.

I used to put a tree up in every room but now I just do one.  I decorate it in vintage glass Victorian ornaments.

And some glass woodland creatures like this frog.

Some of the ornaments are colored glass and some are mercury glass.
 I have one Polish Santa.

And the most important ornament of all.....Teddy!

Beautiful! I'll decorate this weekend. I use crystal prisms on my tree--I love a sparkling evergreen!

I just know that I would be filled to the top with Christmas spirit if I stood for five minutes in that room! Everything is so sparkly and lovely!

Beautiful tree, I use glass icicles too, look like the tinsel of my youth. Glass not so messy and I don't want any mishaps with the cats either. I think the more mature (older) we get the less decorating we do. I would do upstairs too, now lucky if the upstairs bathroom gets a vase of greens.

Your decorations are beautiful as always and I do like that frog :-) Teddy is as cute as ever in that photo, I have the two I've gotten from You on the linnen cabinet.

Have a great day!

Christer.

I still put trees everywhere, but this year I put far less out on surfaces and such. I'm having to help my mother do her decorating now, and it gets exhausting! Your home and trees are just beautiful, and Teddy is the piece de resitance!

Absolutely stunning. You have put me to shame as I have not done a bit of decorating in my home. I am beginning to think that you must live in a world that has 36 hours in a day. How else would you be able to do all that cooking, baking & decorating? You home is full of the Christmas spirit and has inspired me to get busy transforming my own home into a place of holiday cheer. Each time My favorite part of decorating is unwrapping each ornament. I always feel like I am seeing an old friend that I see once a year. I always love seeing your Korean chest & lanterms, but my favorite are your glass ornaments - and of course the Teddy ornament.

And, IT'S BEAUTIFUL!
It's beautiful, Joyce. I put the lights on my tree this year as you instructed last year and it was so easy and fast. In no time my tree was lit beautifully. No more running around and around the tree...so much prettier than the way I had been doing it for all these years.
Now I must go check on the recipe for the frito pie. :)

The photos are beautiful but I bet your tree is spectacular when seen in person.

So many fun things to look at in this post: Tummy Tumbleweed, framed Teddy picture ornament, and Christmas and Korean antiques.
