More Thrift Shopping

It snowed overnight.  We only got a few inches but I'll take it.  Winter is coming to an end.  We are going to be in the 70's next week.
Teddy has had it with winter.  She put on the brakes when she saw the snow.  She is ready to work in the gardens.
I found this at Goodwill yesterday.  I'd never seen one of these before so I bought it just to see how it works. It's never been used.
This must have been from the 70's or around then.  I have dough rising as I type so I'll let you know how it works.  As you can see, it came with a Xmas gift tag.  Another unwanted present.

And I was thrilled to find these for 2.99!  They are Simon Pierce.

What a find and they fit in perfectly with my glass candlestick collection.  It's amazes me what you can come across at thrift shops.

I love thrift shops. It's like a treasure hunt everytime I go. It would be cool to have a thrift shop treasure hunt post from all the bloggers that read your blog.

I always laugh a little every tyime I see the word Pyrex since it is a pesticide over here :-) but I have seen pyrex glass too but theys eems to write it with smaller letters over here. Must be tricky to getthe bread out of that glass tube? I look forward to see how it goes!

Have a great day!

I bought one of those glass tubes at an Estate Sale a couple of years ago. Bought Williams Sonoma french bread racks at the same time. Used the WS racks but was never brave enough to use the Pyrex tube. Just donated back to Salvation army earlier this year. Can't wait to see how the bread turns out.

I have that bake a round! It's in the basement now (ahem), but I've been thinking I should put it back into use. We really enjoyed the breads; I especially remember the cinnamon, even though it's been a very long time. Enjoy!

I haven't been to a thrift shop in ages. I wonder if we have one close by. Looks to me like you got some fabulous bargains.
I've seen one before. One of my relatives had one..but I can't remember which. I saw it in their kitchen on a holiday. Goes to show you how OLD I am. Other than having seen one, I have no clue as to how they work.
The snow is just beautiful..we can't even get rain although they say we will by (hard to believe) this next week. We need it so badly!

I remember my Mother having one. As I remember, it was something she used once or twice. Her loaves of bread were preferred.
