Curried Egg Salad Sandwiches on Nova Scotia Brown Bread

I made one of my favorite loaves of bread yesterday.  Nova Scotia brown bread.  Nova Scotia is one of my favorite places in the entire world and you can't beat their bread.

You can find the recipe here:  http://octoberfarm.blogspot.com/2014/05/nova-scotia-brown-bread.html    It makes the best sandwiches.

It's especially good with curried egg salad. The recipe is here:  http://octoberfarm.blogspot.com/2011/02/curried-egg-salad-sandwich.html

I like to line the bread with crispy fresh lettuce.

I place it on the top and bottom to keep the bread from getting mushy though this salad is on the dry side.
I also like to serve it with some homemade pickles.

It's a very good lunch.

I really should try this bread, normally I only bake when the cool autumn arrives but I just can't find any decent bread anywhere and the curried eggs are always right :-)

Have a great day!

I love curry, I love egg salad sandwich, so the mix of the two is a winning combination for me. And I did not know there was a specific bread from Nova Scotia.

Well now....what can I say!?
I/we are very familiar with this bread. It is a mainstay in many families.
Ron's Mom and Grandmother made their version and as you said, Joyce, it makes the BEST sandwiches!!

curried egg salad sounds scrumptious right about now. And that bread looks divine.
