Fall Decorating

I figured that if I decorated for Fall, the Autumn Gods would take notice and drop the temps a few degrees. It didn't work.  At least I'm decorated.
Four racks of these cookies are now packed up and checked off the list.  About 900 more to go.

I hung one of my mirror chains out front and it is magical when the sun hits it in the morning.

We are heading out on a road trip tomorrow and I am hoping to find my first pumpkins to add to the mix.

Next year it will be time for a change in decorating.  Next year when I have something called 'time on my hands'!

I'm thinking of going shopping at Micheals this weekend for new decorations for autumn. My old stuff is over 12 yrs old now. It's boring. I want something more on the haunting side of life.

Your favorite season is upon you! The porch is looking fabulous and I am sure your pumpkin additions will make it even better. I must find the Bee book beneath, as a frustrated bee-keeper wannabe, myself.

Beautiful decorations as always, too bad it didn't give You cooler weather :-)

Soo many cookies!

Have a great day!

Christer.

spring is sure in the air here in NZ so your fall won't be far away. I always love it when you decorate.

Love your fall door. I'm going to start gradually, maybe a few bobs inside. Good luck in finding pumpkins. Two years ago when I was preparing for my son's wedding, I had a difficult time finding pumpkins. When I finally found some. the farmer (knowing I was desperate) charged an astronomical amount. I'll never go back to him.

Oh how I wish I could decorate like this! Here it is quite warm, but autumn seems to be slowly heading our way.

Decor always gets changed the more time you have. LOVE your Autumn look. 900 cookies. WOW. I can not begin to imagine?

PS) There is something very interesting about that wreath on the front door. Who is peeking out from the middle?

How do you even have time for road trips and blog posts in the midst of all your wedding busy-ness???

I got a chuckle out of your post. Here in the south, it's still in the 90's...just too hot to decorate for fall, but getting excited that fall is on its way! Enjoying seeing it in all the stores. Just a good reminder cooler weather WILL come!
Exactly what I've been waiting for. Tomorrow I start getting ready for Fall! Actually, there is a bit of change going on with our tree's. Very little but still a bit. (I sound a bit over anxious I guess..but I NEED Fall!)
You grounds are looking fantastic! Thick and lush..but soon..the falling leaves will take over.
I've never seen one of those hanging mirror chains but I imagine the reflections are amazing.
I can certainly see why you are in bed early at night! :)
