Hannibal

 Meet Hannibal, my new mixer.  This is a commercial KitchenAid mixer and it is a workhorse.  I should have had one of these years ago.  I am thrilled with it; though the wedding cookies just became really expensive.

 The cage is to keep you from falling in.  Not really but I'm really glad it's there.

 I'm pumping out abut 150-200 cookies each day.

 At this rate, I will have about 1 dozen cookies for each guest to take home.

 That's about 1400 cookies.

The shelter that I used to cook for is close by so they will get the leftovers. I assume there will be leftovers but maybe not?

That is a serious mixer! And about time, too. Somehow, I doubt there will be many leftovers...

If I lived closer I would come help you bake.. You are amazing.. I made a lot of cookies for my sons wedding but my girlfriend did help me... Like I said it is a true labor of love and people from out of town never heard of cookie and candy tables... Didn't it originate in Pittsburgh? Being from Youngstown we all have the cookie tables.. You have to be exhausted though.. You are doing everything!! Amazing mixer by the way!! Your guests are going to love this wedding!! Beautiful couple and beautiful parents...

Hannibal sounds a perfect investment. In NZ we do not have such a tradition of cookie baking for weddings.

I think the traditional cookie table is an Eastern European tradition but practically all weddings in western Pennsylvania have one. All the families of the bride and groom contribute their specialties. What an assortment!

Hannibal, your new mixer looks like he's up to the job. Sometimes you have to pay a little MORE to get the help you need. THOSE cookies are proof the two of you make a GREAT team.

My hubby bought me a commercial KitchenAid at the beginning of this year. I do love it too. I have days where I have all three going now - my 35 year old original, the red one from you and the commercial. I'm so spoiled I don't know what I'll do if I ever have less than three. heh
