Cooking for the Kids

Yesterday was the first day of the after school program for this year.  I made the kids 120 pumpkin pancakes and took a gallon of maple syrup to them.

I also took gallons of apple cider I bought at the apple festival last Saturday.

I made them a bunch of sausages too.  They were thrilled.  Most of the kids had never eaten pumpkin pancakes before and they loved them.  These kids were all at The Blog Tech's wedding and I finally got to meet them.  We hired a trolley to pick them up and when they arrived, they all came up to me one at a time, introduced themselves and thanked me for cooking for them. It was wonderful to finally meet them.

Such a wonderful service you do for those kids
Those children will always remember you and tell people and their own children about the lady that made them the wonderful food and how good it tasted. Yep..that is going to happy one day. You may never know..and they will remember "The Blog Tech" at the same time...you two are making memories.. Little girls are going to have something ..something ..in their weddings one day that will emulate the one they attended long ago. :)
A woman found me on face book not long ago and wrote to me. She made sure it was me..and then said she never forgot me and how I rescued her one day from being bullied by a group of high school girls on her way to school. I vaguely remembered taking on those girls but it took me a bit. I had forgotten but she didn't... Kids are like that. They remember.
