Doggie Meatloaves

My DIL's mother's dog is ailing.  Daisy is a bloodhound and was diagnosed with a brain tumor last spring.  She went through radiation and did pretty well for all this time.  Lately, symptoms have returned.  She recently has gone off her food and of course, her mama and my DIL are so sad.  So, I offered to make some meals that I fed my last chow, Freddy, when she had stomach cancer.
The loaf on the left is ground chicken, steamed butternut squash, 1 cup quick cooking oats, 1/2 cup low fat cottage cheese, 1/2 cup mozzarella and 2 eggs.  The one on the right is ground beef, ground liver and giblets, 1/2 cup panko, cubed steamed sweet potato, shredded cheddar cheese, 1 cup of cooked rice and 2 eggs.  Bake at 350 until they register 165 in the middle, about 45 minutes.

I made 2 small ones and told Teddy that she was the guinea pup.

It was very funny.  She is the dog version of "let Mickey try it"!  She is so fussy.  She stared at it for a moment but then gobbled it.  She rarely gobbles anything.  So, hopefully Daisy will eat it too.

So sorry about their dog!

I've saved this post in my computer, this is something I'll try when I know more what Albin can eat!

Have a great day!

Christer.

So sad when health fails our beloved pets. The doggie meatloaves were very special and such a nice gesture to help.
