The Circus Is Leaving Town

Barnum and Bailey is closing. Yep, closing the doors, taking down the tents and leaving town for good.  Thank you Jesus.  I hate the circus, I always have.  Creepy clowns, caged animals, abnormal everything.  I live in a big city, I don't need to pay to see weird shit.

I'm on the mend but not ready to cook so I'm taking my daughter's advice and resting.  Not something that comes easily to me.  When I have spare time, I tend to get into trouble.

What I am now wondering about is....where will people run off to?  I guess you now have no choice but to run off and join Isis.

Or you can run off to DC.  Because the biggest circus ever is about to move into that town.  To quote my favorite Polish saying:  Not my circus; Not my monkeys.

Well said! Though I'm Canadian, I'll be boycotting the circus show coming to the big white tent. Spare us Lord.

I so needed this post. I feel the same way about circuses. Who needs a traveling freak show when we will have one in residence for four years? Not my monkeys, either.

Tee hee - I needed a good giggle today. Why not use your free time to call your congressman and senators and express your displeasure? I find it is very cathartic.

I've never liked the traditional cirkus so I was glad to read about it the other day.

My guess is that they will head to D.C. As You say that will be the biggest cirkus ever!

Have a great day!

Christer.

I love that phrase "I live in a big city, I don't need to pay to see weird shit." I giggled myself silly.
I only saw the circus once and that was when I was a little kid. It was hot, stinky and loud. I was not amused or in awe of anything. I hated it. I'm glad they closed down it was a long time coming. Hopefully, the animals will be given a better home to roam free without being beaten or abused.
I hope you enjoyed your rest. I sure did. I actually napped on the couch for 2 hours. I felt so refreshed, but I was still hurting. That part will never go away for me.

I've heard they have an orangutang that is quite a show. Apparently he speaks from both his mouth and his ass, and you can't tell the difference.

I love your blog and your generous heart. I have hated what this election has done TO ME PERSONALLY. I remember The Donald of the 1980s and '90s. I did not like him then and he has done nothing to garner my admiration since. I have spent endless hours since 11/8 trying to make sense of how people could consider a "reality show" tv host to be a good choice for leading our country. His credentials of failed companies and lack of financial disclosure alone should have excluded him from being hired. To those who voted him in... I have only questions as to their, and his intelligence. As to his idea of Make America Again... I did not realize our country is not great. I see a second rate, business man who has bancrupted several companies, who is an admitted molester of women, who has cheated on his wife... well, he simply does not represent me in any way.
Thank you for your generous spirit. Thank you for your public service and what you have done, and continue to do to make your corner of the world.
