Homemade Wind Chimes

This is my latest project....wind chimes.  I love wind chimes but good ones are really expensive.  I decided to make my own.  Hola, they are a lot of work!
I might not be in the wind chime business for long though because the glass for these is expensive.  It's pretty complicated to make your own so I don't think I will be going down that path.  I'm trying to find a less expensive glass supplier but so far, no luck.

I've only made two of them so far but I'm really enjoying them.  It's been breezy the last few days and these things really sing.

Pretty! Do you have to make them with so much glass? Chimes with found items are pretty, too. It would be a lost cheaper.

I have a series of wind chimes in the backyard and really enjoying hearing them. I always know just how windy it is if I can hear the wind chimes while I'm in the house.

Go to your nearest Hobby Lobby or whatever and buy some sea glass and bags of assorted sea shells. They make the best wind chimes and they don't cost much. I used to make my chimes with those items and old silverware with fishing line. I find my ideas on Pinterest.

I bet they sound wonderful
I adore glass windchimes. The very first set of windchimes I ever heard were glass, maybe that's why.

The previous family had left windchimes up when I bought my house. I never took them down but the wind cracked one of them. They had tweety bird on the design.

Now I just got all my supplies together and started making mirrored sun catchers and you've moved on to wind chimes??? ROFL!

If I close my eyes I can hear your chimes from afar. They are beautiful. But having tackled this project once myself, it is a chore for sure. But worth the effort, I believe.
