Sugar Cookies

I had been wanting to try this recipe for a while and I made it yesterday for my daughter to take to work.  She said her co-workers loved them.

Ingredients:
1 C Butter (room temperature)
3/4 C Vegetable Oil
1 1/4 C Sugar
3/4 C Powdered Sugar
2 T Water
2 Eggs
1/2 t Baking Soda
1/2 t Cream of Tarter
1 t Salt
5 1/2 C Flour
Mix everything together and scoop golf ball size pieces of dough onto a parchment covered cookie sheet.
Using the bottom of a glass, dip it in sugar and push the dough down into a round disk with rough edges.  Bake at 350 degrees for 9 minutes then cool on a rack.

 Frost with this icing:

1/2 cup room temperature butter
3/4 C Sour Cream
1 2lb Package of Powdered Sugar
1 t salt
1/4 C Milk
Red Food Coloring
