Party Prep

Yesterday was a long day of party prepping.  I made a lot of the items which will go on a large meat and cheese platter and vegetable platter.

I made a raspberry/jalapeno compote and Amish pickled eggs.

Lebanese garlic spread, pickles carrots and Russian pickled cherry tomatoes.

And then I made meatballs for the platter too.

It might seem strange to have meatballs on a cheese platter but they are always the first thing to disappear.

And these are garlic butter meatballs and are seriously delicious.  I will show pics of everything when I pull it all together.

All of this pickling is amazing. I would love to try the Russian pickled cherry tomatoes as we always have an abundance of these, would you mind sharing the recipe?

Meat balls are always a favorite, I think, no matter where or how they are served, so I am not surprised. You certainly did a lot to prepare.

We Swedes have a tendency to love all pickled things :-) I'm not one of those though but it does sound interesting with pickled tomatoes! Some years I get so many tomatoes I don't know what to do with them, this doesn't look like one of those though :-)

Have a great day!

Christer.
It must be wonderful to be a guest for dinner at your house.
Now I want garlic butter meatballs!
