A Little Help From a Friend

My friend got invited this weekend to visit someone who was coming to town whom she hadn't seen in years  .  The woman was flying in just for the weekend to celebrate her birthday with her sister.  My friend was very excited to go but was stressed because she had no idea what to take.  I offered to help her out.  Since it was going to be a girl's weekend, I figured that food would be appreciated.

I made a decadent Kentucky Butter cake.  Everyone loves these and they travel well.

I made a blueberry, basil and goat cheese pie.  I figured I might as well introduce them to something new and this pie is killer good.

This basket holds oatmeal raisin whoopie pies and the loaf is a cinnamon swirl bread which is much like a coffee cake.  I threw in a jar of pickles.
The pickles go with these pumpkin, rosemary, sea salt rolls.  Someone was baking a ham and I figured they could make sandwiches out of them tomorrow. I think the girls will have fun!

Hi Joyce...I'm laughing right now because I just looked up your baked brain hee hee hee, it is awesome...I think Alex would get nauseous if I made that for him, he looked green when I presented the prosciutto head! But thanks for the suggestion!!! :) I have to tone it down to fun but not too grosse!!!
