A Blip on the Radar

Willie as a puppy.  Smaller head, bigger body.

Winnie as a puppy.  Larger head, smaller body.

The reason I do not have more pics is because for the moment, Willie is staying with my daughter.  We drove all the way to the other side of the state and picked him up the next morning.  The breeder gave him a bath that morning and noticed some discharge from his eyes.  We brought him home since we had traveled so far but we had to take him to the vet the very next day.  After a thorough examination, they determined that he has allergies but they were not totally ruling out conjunctivitis.  Since that is contagious, we thought we would keep them separated for a couple days just to be safe.  The breeder and I do not think it is anything contagious because all of her puppies would have it.  So after I check him out today, he might be coming to the main house. Believe me, lots of pics will be posted soon!  Better to be safe than sorry.

It is contagious and looks just like allergy problems. I caught it one time and gave it to my son. Funny, because the baby who was handled more by me did not get it. You are wise to keep them apart for a bit.

Can't wait. Joyce, I'm wondering if every time your chow's snozzle starts to turn brown, you'll be getting another chow!?
🤣👍🐶🐶🐶

Watch out for sibling rivalry when the blog tech visits...
Winnie has first claim... Hope the new guy on the block is
feeling better soon.

Can you just imagine all the barking and running and fighting over toys and more barking and more running and then sleeping for oh, 10 minutes to recharge their batteries and then doing all that all over again? Can you? I can. It's fun to hear and see. Enjoy!
Good thing to keep them apart just in case and just remember to give Winnie more attention than Willie so she doesn't see him as a threat when the Blog Tech comes.

Have a great day!

Christer.

So adorable! I’m glad they have a companion. I love having two labs. Never a dull moment.

Definitely better safe than sorry Joyce. Lucky daughter to have Willie for a while :) My pug Spencer had conjunctivitis, and luckily it wasn't contagious to my other pug Winston. But it's a worry, mind you, treatable! You'll have Winnie and Willie together soon! I love those two pictures though, complete opposites yet so alike!!! :)
