Thrift Shopping

Thanksgiving is 5 months away but I am already planning my table.  There is so much to do between now and then and during this slow period of the year, I like to accomplish as much as I can.  I recently found a new thrift store and I've found some great things to use on the table.  I won't tell you what my game plan is but I will show you things over the months as I plan the table out.  I found this wonderful vintage wooden tea cake stand for 2.99.

 This will work perfectly.

A Fenton hobnail fairy light for 1.99.  I am searching for more of these but not buying them on ebay.  They are selling for much higher prices online.

This was a really great find.  A spongeware pie plate from the workshops of Gerald E. Henn, Roseville Ohio.  A perfect apple pie plate.  This is huge and cost 3.99.

I picked up all of these candle holders for about 1.00 each.  I will, however, not be using them as candle holders.  More to come!

I got these heavy glass candle holders for 39 cents.

And added 49 cent amber glass hurricanes to them. When lit, these will give off a beautiful glow on the table.

And not that I needed this but I found this large Vaseline glass bowl for 1.00, I just couldn't pass it up.

It's now my official cherry bowl.

Look at these two!  Can you tell who's paw belongs to whom?

Fandamntastic finds. I'm wondering what you are going to do with the candlesticks. Oh, and the last picture. How much did you pay for the fuzzy babies? They look real.

The amber colored glass will be perfect for Fall. Just curious...have you ever been a professional caterer? You certainly have a knack for entertaining. Thank you for sharing.
