The first two were built out of black locusts which eventually returned to mother earth. Though, they would have lasted longer if properly constructed. This one is built like a brick shithouse!
It will outlive us by many years. Standing in it makes you feel like you are in a woodland chapel.
It has a sandstone floor.
I hired a really talented guy I met at a craft fair. He is the one that is about to build my tool shed I showed you a while ago.
He chiseled the supports to make them look like timbers and he duplicated the trusses from the guest house to carry over the theme.
This was build using high-grade wolmanized lumber but custom cut by him to make it look more natural to blend in with the surroundings.
We left the roof open because the weeping beech will canopy over it eventually.
Now I need to plant the perimeter and decorate it. My head is swimming with ideas. I'm also going to add lights.
