A Fall Weekend


We had a beautiful Fall weekend.  Early each morning I opened all of my doors and windows to let in the cool air and I cooked!


I made apple pies for everyone.

I made salt rise bread.  I haven't made this since last spring.
 
I built at least one fire each day.



 
Winnie thoroughly enjoyed being outside almost all day long.

Those apple pies, yes please warm with ice cream. I have heard this but does anyone really serve apple pie with cheese? Just asking.

There is nothing more delightful than Autumn!!!!!
And a fire is so welcomed after all those beastly hot days! Cool days are our reward for suffering summer!

Here in Southern Oregon it's still warm and crispy dry, we won't get cold and rainy fall til the weekend fingers crossed. I'm getting Alice Hoffman's prequel to Practical Magic today and I can't wait, it's all about Maria. Going to lose myself in that and decorate for fall, even tho I'm a little late. Your Apple pies look amazing!
