It's not the prettiest Fall we've ever had due to the drought. Most of the leaves just dried up and fell off of the trees but it's still very pretty.
This is one of my Oakleaf Hydrangeas which is shriveled and in trouble. I soaked all of them after I took this pic.
Some trees have yet to turn.
Leaves are covering the gazebo floor. We haven't had rain since the gazebo was built and that was 6 weeks ago. We haven't had a decent rain in 4 months.
The perron is covered with leaves.
A view to the leaf covered patio.
Crossing the middle pond.
And here it is, the red patio.
Even the table is covered. Now what would I do if it looked like this for the wedding celebration? Leave the leaves or rake them? I think I would leave them.
These Hydrangeas are not as bad as the others.
And here comes Willie doing his job. He checks every inch of the woods. When I was a little girl, I lived at the edge of a big woods. To get to it, we had to walk through a much smaller woods which, as children, we always called "the toy woods". When I want the pups to go down below with me I ask them if they want to go to the toy woods and they fly out of the back door and run to the gates. The cutest thing is that they have created little paths through the woods because they always go the same way.
Hi there Willie!
All of the chairs have leaf cushions.
A beautiful carpet of leaves.

Heading back up I can see another chow chow behind one of the bushes. |

One could almost swim in the leaves.
I love Fall.

Albin has also made paths in my garden :-)
Have a great day!
Christer.
We did get reds... but they have faded fast and now we are in the yellow stages mostly.
