I had CNN on to watch the verdict (don't usually have TV on). It brought tears to my eyes and a sense of relief that maybe, maybe we are finally heading in the right direction.
Thank God. And now if Americans would just put the guns away, get free medical for everyone and allow every single American of legal age to vote then America would be on it's way to being a great country again. 150 mass shootings so far this year is not the way to have a great country. But HURRAY for the verdict yesterday.
I've been following this trial for so long now and the continuing erratic use of firearms by military and civilians alike (we have them here too). It is saddening how daily the incidents keep rising. Despite all the publicity and focus, nothing seems to lessen.
