Good News and Half Way There

Willie's new knee got a major thumbs up from the vet.  He said that it has healed perfectly.
 

So, Willie can now start doing everything he did before but in moderation and mostly on a leash.  When he came home yesterday, we helped him climb the stairs to the kitchen.  It was the first time he had been on the first floor in two months.  He walked around and checked out every room and then laid right in front of the stove while I cooked their dinner.  He was one happy little boy and it felt as if the whole house let out a big sigh of relief.  For the next two months, he needs to build up muscle mass and strengthen both back legs.  We've made it half way!
