The Trip Part 2

Our drive to the festival was very autumnal with thick fog in the mountains.  It really set the mood.

The event was held in a perfect setting in the woods.

Our favorite gourd women was there with her wonderful creations.

Each booth was decorated for Fall.

There were lots of food booths to tempt you.

The woods is just beside rolling acres of farmland.

One booth held beautiful quilts.

I bought some cutting boards at this booth. The artist makes beautiful shaker boxes in all sizes.

The owners of this little lamb were asking people to suggest names for it.

Christmas trees!

Demonstrations were held throughout the day.

This was a flax making demonstration.

After the fair we took back roads home.  In the middle of nowhere, this is all you need to see to know something is happening.

Bingo!

An Amish roadside stand. There was a guy on the ground throwing pumpkins to this guy on the truck. It was oddly entertaining, much like Pike Place Market in Seattle but with pumpkins instead of fish.

I was like, hey buddy, throw one my way.

And if you like Amish baking, this is the place.

Mums forever.

There were at least 25 of these stops along the way.

The Amish have tapped into the Englisher's Fall mania.

Judging by your pictures it looks like it was a beautiful fall day. Throw in mums, pies and pumpkins, and what could be more perfect?
